Morbanx Aggregation

About Morbanx

Morbanx was built by someone who understands what it means to run a broking business.

Andrew Larcombe created Morbanx Aggregation to give independent mortgage brokers a different kind of relationship with their aggregator.

The model combines broker ownership and independence with direct access, practical guidance and established industry infrastructure.

Why Morbanx was created
Built from experience · Designed for independence · Focused on broker success

The origin

A better aggregation relationship should begin with the broker’s business, not the aggregator’s model.

After decades working across banking, lending, mortgage broking, training, mentoring and business ownership, Andrew had seen the industry from several perspectives.

He had also seen a recurring problem.

Independent brokers were often expected to choose between retaining control of their business and receiving meaningful support.

Morbanx Aggregation was created to challenge that assumption.

The objective was to build a model where brokers could retain ownership of their clients and trail book, receive 100% of their commissions and still have access to practical, experienced support.

Independence should not mean operating without support.

Experience behind the business

More than 45 years in financial services, viewed from both sides of the relationship.

Andrew Larcombe has spent more than 45 years working in financial services.

His experience includes banking, mortgage broking, business ownership, broker mentoring, training and assessment, and aggregation business development.

He founded Morbanx as a mortgage brokerage in 1999 and has personally settled more than $1 billion in loans.

That experience matters because the challenges facing brokers are rarely limited to lender policy alone.

They also involve:

  • client expectations
  • deal structure
  • compliance obligations
  • business operations
  • workflow
  • lead generation
  • cashflow
  • professional development
  • difficult decisions
  • the pressure of running an independent business

Experience is most valuable when it can be applied to the situation in front of the broker.

Practical value

Experience only matters if it helps brokers make better decisions.

The Morbanx approach is based on practical application rather than theory alone.

  1. 01

    Lending scenarios

Help brokers think through complex structures, lender options, policy issues and practical next steps.

  2. 02

    Compliance

Provide guidance that helps brokers understand how obligations apply in real client situations.

  3. 03

    Business operations

Support brokers with workflow, systems, process improvement, time management and operational discipline.

  4. 04

    Growth

Help brokers examine lead generation, referral relationships, business planning and sustainable development.

  5. 05

    Professional judgment

Provide an experienced perspective when a broker is dealing with a difficult client, lender issue, settlement risk or business decision.

The broker remains responsible for the decision. Morbanx provides perspective, guidance and support.

Boutique by design

Morbanx is not trying to become the largest aggregator.

The business is being built as a boutique national aggregator for independent brokers who value access, accountability and a genuine working relationship.

A smaller, carefully developed network allows Morbanx to remain:

  • accessible
  • responsive
  • selective
  • relationship-driven
  • focused on broker quality
  • committed to sustainable growth

Growth matters, but not at the expense of service, culture or broker fit.

The objective is not to collect brokers. It is to build strong aggregation relationships.

Relationship and infrastructure

Morbanx provides the relationship. SFG strengthens the infrastructure.

Morbanx

Morbanx provides the direct broker relationship, practical guidance, business support, community and day-to-day accessibility.

Specialist Finance Group

Morbanx Aggregation operates as a sub-aggregator of Specialist Finance Group.

SFG provides the underlying licensee, lender-panel, compliance, platform and operational infrastructure that supports the aggregation model.

The combination allows Morbanx brokers to receive personalised support while operating within established industry infrastructure.

Specific lender, platform, compliance and accreditation arrangements remain subject to SFG, lender and third-party requirements.

Broker fit

The model works best when expectations are aligned.

Strong fit

Morbanx is designed for brokers who:

  • value independence
  • want to retain ownership of their clients and trail
  • appreciate direct access to experienced support
  • take compliance seriously
  • want to improve their business
  • are open to guidance and professional development
  • treat clients, colleagues and industry partners with respect
  • value collaboration without wanting unnecessary interference

May not be the right fit

Morbanx may not suit brokers who:

  • choose an aggregator only on price
  • expect the aggregator to run their business for them
  • resist compliance obligations
  • do not want feedback
  • expect guaranteed lender or commercial outcomes
  • are unwilling to take responsibility for their own decisions
  • do not value participation, professionalism or respectful relationships

The right fit matters to both the broker and Morbanx.

How Andrew works

Support should be direct, honest and useful.

Andrew’s approach to working with brokers is based on several simple principles.

  • Tell the truth

Do not minimise risks, overstate outcomes or make promises that depend on lenders, licensees or third parties.

  • Be accessible

Brokers should be able to speak with someone who understands the issue and can help them think it through.

  • Respect independence

The broker owns the business and remains responsible for the final decision.

  • Focus on practical outcomes

Advice should help the broker move forward, not simply describe the problem.

  • Support long-term development

A strong relationship should help the broker become more capable, confident and commercially sustainable over time.

Good support should make the broker stronger, not more dependent.
